Budget

In accordance with the Federal budgetary process, each year the Permitting Council submits to Congress its budget request for annual appropriations. These requests outline the Permitting Council’s activities to implement FAST-41 and execute against its strategic plan.

Annual Congressional Budget Requests 

These are requests submitted by the Permitting Council that outline the financial needs for the upcoming fiscal year and detail the budget necessary to support our efforts in advancing timely and efficient environmental review and authorizations for large infrastructure projects.

Operations in the Absence of Appropriations

In the event of a lapse of annual appropriations, the Permitting Council will continue to fulfill its statutory obligations utilizing the Environmental Review Improvement Fund (ERIF), 42 U.S.C. 4370m-8(d)(2), into which Congress has appropriated funds that can be utilized through 2031.
