Agency Strategic Plan
The Permitting Council's Strategic Plan for 2022-2026 outlines our mission to advance FAST-41 and increase transparency, predictability, and accountability in environmental reviews and permitting of infrastructure projects.
The plan sets four main goals:
Standardizing organizational policies
Expanding and diversifying staff skills
Advancing the implementation of FAST-41
Broadening participation in the FAST-41 program
These goals aim to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the permitting process, support major infrastructure projects, and foster a skilled, diverse workforce aligned with modern infrastructure needs.

Agency Performance Plan and Report
In support of the Government Performance and Results Act, the Permitting Council documents progress in implementing the Permitting Council’s Strategic Plan through a defined Agency Performance Plan providing performance indicators by which the agency will monitor and assess achievement of agency goals and objectives. The Permitting Council also developed an Agency Performance Report detailing its performance measures and actual progress towards achieving agency strategic goals and objectives. The Performance Report is updated on an annual basis providing annual reporting on performance indicators and strategic progress.
